GALE SOUTH BEACH & REGENT COCKTAIL CLUB
For over seven decades, Gale South Beach has stood as an emblem of timeless style and sophistication since it was originally erected in 1941 by L. Murray Dixon. Moniker, “Mr. Miami”, Dixon was one of the most prolific architects of his time for the attribution of Art Deco and Miami Modernism. Separated by two sister properties, it wasn’t until 1964 that the modernizations of Dixon permanently linked the Gale Hotel and the Regent Hotel by bridge and has earned the estate recognition in the National Register of Historic Places. In recently past decades, luxury resorts and beach clubs began to inundate Miami Beach’s cultural scene and the once burgeoning realty was soon becoming evanescent. Menin Hospitality joined forces with development team Crescent Heights and architects ADD, inc. to revive the glamour of the treasured 40s landmark that lines with the heritage of the Gale’s appeal on the South Beach strip that’s adorned by locals and worldly patrons alike.
Eponymous of the era’s vogue, LDV Hospitality’s Regent Cocktail Club nestled away inside the Gale South Beach is one of the most stately lounges, nightly drawing in the cocktail enthusiast, cigar aficionado and the elite for its simplicity and elegance. Seating at the prestigious literary salon proffers cocktail culture at its best, while the opulence of rich mahogany couches and chairs lend to more quiet conversation in the nostalgic dimmed-lit space. Choose your select cocktail of choice from their extensive ten-page menu or the bulletin display of daily specials. An eclectic mix of New Orleans style jazz sets the mood for an enchanting evening.
